Lewmar Windlass

I have an '04 Wellcraft 24' w/a and am doing as much research as I can before cutting a hole in my foredeck.

I have read mixed reviews on the Lewmar Profish 700FF, however more positives than negatives.

I was wondering if anyone has any experiences one way or the other regarding windlasses for a boat around the same size as mine.

I can get a new one for $750, plus 300' rode/chain for $200 more. I would spend a little more if it will spare me headaches in the future.
