Which is better for bottom fishing ?

What are the advantages or purpose of using a lever drag for bottom fishing like TOG ?

No advantage, get a Star drag, save the lever drag for Offshore or having fun with Circle hooks for Bass & Blues.

I feel a lever drag is a DISadvantage while doing any type of bottom fishing! The lever throw on a lever drag is much too long when adjusting to depth. A star drag is better because the throw is much shorter. I only used Newells once and I really liked them due to the very short throw and easier to but into gear. A lever drag offers no advantage and usually is much higher priced.
