Beautiful fluke teasers! Traditional saltwater fly tying for bass, albies and blues isn't new to me, however tying fluke teasers is new.

Could use some help please..

1) is there a particular hook or size hook you use for your epoxy minnow type teasers?

2) How do you typically rig a teaser onto a fluke rig? Tie a dropper loop above the bucktail and simply put the teaser on the dropper loop?

I use Gamakatsu Octopus hooks 3/0 to 5/0 for most of my minnow type patterns.


2) How do you typically rig a teaser onto a fluke rig? Tie a dropper loop above the bucktail and simply put the teaser on the dropper loop?

Yes, approximately 12 to 18 inches above the bucktail or bullet depending on water depth.

I love tying but last year i got into making spro like lead heads painted them up real nice and i bought a bunch of HOOCHIE SQUIDS and I killed the fluke.

Tied on a 2/0 Gamakatsu hook.
