The boat is wood. A smooth, cold molded bottom, triple planked with a layer of kevlar in it. Topsides are lapstrake okoume plywood. Everything coated with epoxy. All paint is Awlgrip. Teak decks and covering boards.
We have a Mackenzie boat club, consisting of boat owners and enthusiasts. We had a rendezvous at Mystic last summer. There are about 100 surviving boats, but we don't know how many were built.
The boat in Bass River, was it at the Rt. 28 bridge? Blue, or white? I've worked on both of them. Incredibly strong boats. They are quite nice.
