At 23knts I'm at 23 gals per hour. Once I bring her down to 1800rpm I'm at 19 knts and about 17 gals per hour. The speed doesn't change from a full boat with ice bait and everyting loaded for a canyon trip than it does with a half a tank and one guy.

It has a 610 volvo with a 1.5 to 1 gear.

Thats seems like alot of fuel for the speed you are getting. Do you have a floscan? That boat pushes a little easier then most DownEasters.

I do have flo scan, the boat is loaded to the b***s with stuff, so its real heavy. We raised the water line by 2 inches from what northern bay rocomended. I burn about 190gals on a 200 mile canyon trip and thats with trolling. I ussually do a little better than that on the way back with less fuel in the boat.

I gotta check my stats.. I could be wrong about the gals per hour and I know I can get 24 knt cruise out of her but I don't push it that hard. Also top end is 28knts, don't know if you thought I was talking top end and not cruise.

Yes I do have lifting rails.

I was the class of 99, but a little too much fishing made it '00, I'm still shipping, and running my boat when I'm home, while I'm at sea I have a friend run the boat for me.. How about urself, what year did you get out.

tunaorlater yes I did think that was at full now it I see said the blind man!!! mine is also loaded with alot of weight tackle ice bait it adds up what type of prop do you have once I went to a nibro with a cup it made a big big differce I swing a 28/27 and over turn 25 do you fish the canyon
