Matt,

I read an article in one of the fishing magazine's recently, that they troll rods like that on some long range trips out of So. Cal.

Trolling for wahoo was what they were saying this method was used for. I'd like to see some more about these rod holders myself, especially because I fish on a couple of boats that just don't seem to have enough holders in them in the first place.

I'd suggest making this a topic unto itself though. . . .
