I give up on getting a hold of Dennis (LAVjigs). Can anyone tell me if the Atom Vi-Ke jigs in Cabelas are the same shape, action & design (i.e., fill the same niche) as LAV jigs?

JDDon't try anything you see at takcle stores and go with proven jigs.
Surfland on Plum Island, MA carries Angerman jigs which is very similar to Lavjigs and proven jigs.

Are you going to Cabelas to get them? They are a Norwegian style jig, but not the same class as a Lav jig, Your fishing with Eastmans right, so go to Surfland tackle in Newbury port/Plum Island (only 7 or so miles away)and get some Angermen jigs those are in the same class as a Lav jig. Just call Kay at Surfland to make sure they have some, other wise (i'd get some any way) get the Cabelas jigs

I was at Eastmans on Saturday and they had Lav's in 12, 14, and I believe 16oz sizes...
