Absolutely! I think we often fall in love with gadgetry and forget that the simplest tools can more than do the job if the person using them has the patience and savvy. Recently I read that some handmade duck decoys were going to be auctioned at Sothebys...one of them was expected to bring in the vicinity of one million dollars...the gent who carved it was renowned for working with little more than a jacknife and sandpaper. It's not the shop full of tools that produces the work of art...it's the person doing the carving. Go for it...
