local Striper

I've been told that the posted regulations are not to date. I have also been told that you can catch small pollock and use them for bait. I can't find anyplace where this is verified. Had heated email over this with striper fisherman.He was fishing in NH waters.

I would advise not using small pollack for bait as I believe that it is illegal to do so. If I am mistaken and you are able to find this in writing from some official agency, then go ahead and use them.

The regs are clear - pollack - 19-inches.

I'll check the regs listed & update if there are any descrepencies.

The carcass of the fluke with dark side completely intact must be retained for inspection of size limit and counts against the possession limit.

+ For the purposes of these regulations, Long Island Sound includes all adjacent bays and harbors.

** Marine waters -- South of George Washington Bridge

++ Lobsters and crabs in spawn (eggs visible thereon) may not be taken or possessed.
