Anyone own a late model grady or whaler w/a or express in the 30-34 foot range that would like to comment on the ride of the boats?

Looking into them, it's going to be used for offshore sharkin/occasional canyon runs.

Really would like to know how the head sea ride is in the real sloppy big seas, over 4 footers and up.....thanks.

I can't say anything about the ride of either brand in that size.

However, I strongly suggest that you arrange a sea trial to judge for yourself, and mention to the dealer that it is critical it be done on a nasty day.

IMO, the amount that you are about to invest in a boat that size almost mandates that YOU be the judge of its seakeeping abilities as opposed to getting potentially biased opinions from a brand loyal owner that you might later regret.

Seeing that it is a "buyer's market" , it should be relatively easy to arrange a sea trial that meets your specifications and expectations.
