I recently bought a Lamiglas xs101ms. Earlier today while browsing in a store, I noticed that the 2 piece version (xs10ms) had 5 guides and a tip, while my 1 piece only has 4. Anybody else ever notice this? Is this normal? Does it make a difference?
Because the rod is a two piece the layout of the guides for progressive loading might require an extra guide.
What I mean is the break in the rod might fall in the area where a guide on the one piece would end up so therefore the spacing of the guides on the two piece changes and requires an additional guide.
