ive been catching a lot of kingfish lately but cant find any regs on them.Does anybody know the regs on them or if there good to eat. thanks

had a blast with the kings all summer until the spot moved into the Ventnor surf.... they been a no show since then... fun fight on a lightweight casting rod right in the first wave on bloods or fishbites.

great eating, if big enough... say 12" and up... I don't like cleaning the small ones

I actually tried the heads over the summer a few times with nothing on them, though I've heard deep in the night some sandbars will come and give you a good fight on them.... if they are around for a while longer than some striped ones will definitely be on them. Of course, I'm talking about open beach, virtually no structure where I most often fish... if I moved to the inlets/rocks well then....
