I'm considering a trip on the King Cod out of moriches. I know there's not a lot of cod out there but if there is a decent bycatch of ling and blackfish, it might be worth it. Any comments or reports would be welcome. I really need to get out on the ocean, my kids are driving me nuts!

My father was out earlier this week, but the anchoring conditions were difficult with wind against tide the whole trip. He still managed about a dozen big ling amongst a lot of doggies. According to the captain, the fishing had been quite good with a lot of big ling and some cod mixed in when the conditions are cooperative.
