Anybody hear or try keeping Killies alive without water?Saw this in a fish mag. whereby you put them in an empty bucket with ice packs into a cooler and they stay alive all day.Friend of mine says he keeps his alive by just placing them in a small bucket with wet newspaper.See attachment.

I do it all the time, in fact it works better than keeping them in water. I place an ice pack on the bottom of a small cooler cover it with a wet towel (at least 3 layers of towel between the ice and fish) and toss some wet sea grass on top of the killies. It works just as well for grass shrimp.

I've kept them alive for at least two days by doing it this way, but I've heard of being able to keep them alive for at least a week. Either way, they stay livlier this way, instead of keeping them in water.
