Well hopefully what some of us have been discussing here will become a reality...It would be a shame to lose yet another season to the threat of terror.
The 11 o'clock news reported West Lake Drive, which spans the top of the Kensico Dam, will be shut down amid new fears of terrorist counter strikes once we go to war tomorrow.
I for one will be keeping my fingers crossed that a closure of the entire system, similar to the events following 9/11 does not come to pass. With Operation Atlas beginning, the city is beefing up security across the board, including the watershed.
