I am interested in getting some information on Kayaks for my kids.Who are the main players? What is the price range? Do they come rigged with fishing packages? One man vs two man? Where can I go see them in the New York area?

Hi Capt. H, What ages/sizes are the kids? Wilderness Systems has 3 new Tarpon models. A 12', 10' and an 8'. The 10 and 8 will be available in the Spring. Should fit the bill for most youngsters. A tandem is OK but the kids will be happier in their own kayaks unless we're talking really small. We're here to help so ask away.

Go with single yaks for the kids.
And get one for yourself while your at it They are loads of fun.
My kids are 4 and 6.........no kayaks for them yet but their time is coming soon and I've been searching for child sized boats.
My son(6) has been wet exiting out of my WW boat since the summer in our pool.
Wait till he gets big enough to roll the thing and play in the surf

Capt: www.kayakfishingstuff.com is a must "first pass". These are knowledgable gentlemen...plus, they have the most reasonably priced TiCA reels/rods I have ever seen!! Some TiCA products they have are not found elsewhere...period.

But Jon or Joey can set you free...must be yout first pass!!
