Just started reading his book on sailing alone around the world, talk about balls.

First the guy builds his boat, not from a lumber yard, but, he fells trees on his own and cuts the lumber himself. Finishes the boat after like 18 months, does a few shake downs from Maine to Massachusetts and sets off to Nova Scotia and right now he's in the Azores making 150 miles a day.

I thought about building my own dory and gave it up as too much work and not enough space to work in and this guy builds a 40-footer by hand.

Wow, out there in a small craft is wild. I wonder sometimes if smaller is a little better because it's easier to overbuild it for structural integrity.

I think I should do more reading on sailing because of the gas.
