Last Christmas I asked for and received a JET Mini Lathe and a set of chisels. Unfortunately the box has yet to be opened. Just no time.
Years ago I turned out a few darters and bottle plugs using an old Sears wood lathe. I gave that away when I took my wood working shop apart to prepare the rod building spaces.
This year I asked for and received a 150 psi Porta Cable compressor. This box will get opened as I have the plans to build a tool that will enable me to install synthetic grips on fishing rod blanks. I don't have the strength to install the grips by hand like I did in the past. Should have made this tool years ago.
