Does any one know where I can get some used jack stands on Long Island NY. My boat is currently blocked up and I would like to paint under the blocks. The boat weight 7,000 pounds.

Try borrowing or renting some from a local boatyard, preferably one your friendly with.

Thanks for the come backs. I am not the most popular guy at the marinas because I do most of my own work and I pick the mechanics brains. I try to save my favors. I would buy some if the price was right, I just need two. I can?t see spending more than it cost to paint the bottom. I just assume not paint the spots under the blocks. Then again that is why I?m not too popular at the marinas.

Just paint and then move the blocks foward. It only takes a jack and some more blocks.
