I know the striper bite will start to pick up soon but is there really what would be considered a run? I know in the spring we have stripers moving out of the hudson down through the sound when they are done spawning will they make their way back through the sound and back up the hudson in the fall? Sometimes when we leave the boat in late to do some duck hunting the stripers are still around in the sound mostly by the power plant in Norwalk but they are there. It seems to me that their activity is based more on the quantity of bluefish and amount of bait than it does with the change of season and temp change. Just curious what everyone else considers "the run" here on the CT side of the sound. I have also found that for some reason in the fall I have better luck striper fishing the LI side of the sound.
