NO ITS NOT OVER!

BigBillyBass, night time fishing for stripers may be over due to the cold inclement weather, but day time jigging is really heating up. Just look for the birds, and thats striped bass underneath them....The OCEAN EAGLE stopped on a patch of working fish the other day for a while, and GEOFF jigged close to 20 fish (one fish over 15 lbs) during this time. Just keep available, diamond jigs in the 27-47 size range without a tube. Their may be a few boats like the LAZY BONES (out of Montauk) that are running jig trips during this time of the year on other parts of the island. Check your issue of NOREAST to see which boats might still be running stiper jig trips.
