As alternatives to Internet Explorer have gathered attention, there has been a lot of discussion regarding the pros and cons of the various web browsers.

Here are a few links to some helpful info on the 3 major browsers.
Some myths and facts about them that you may not have know.

Myself...........I use Opera followed by Firefox and as a last resort......at times IE7. I have more problems when using IE than any other browser and rarely use it any longer

I am the web master/author/developer for 2 web sites. IE sucks.
It is the least complient to the standards of all the browsers out there.
I am so tired of having to put special clauses everywhere in the code to get IE to do what its supposed to.

Netscape is ok, its not perfect but at least you don't have to code around its bugs. I personally perfer Firefox and use it for my initial round of debugging. I've found that if it works in Firefox, it works in Netscape. (No surprise, they are both based on Mozilla)But 10% of the time it doesn't work right in IE. And I don't use any browser specific extensions (IE has lots of them).

For what it's worth...

I loaded Opera 9.5 the other day and in a truly limited test, it ran and "felt" fine...

Haven't dived in deep enough to have tested any new features...
