There are so many new jigs flooded into the market, but I still love my 8 oz diamond/hammered diamond jigs.
I believe the jigs are one of the most versatile jigs ever invented. You can jig slow or you can jig fast. You can jig deep at bottom and you can jig on the surface. You can catch a small as 2 - 4 lbs seabass or snapper and you can catch 200 - 300 lbs tuna on the same jig.
Who cares even you lose some as it cost only $5 - 7. :)

Kil: It's so refreshing to see someone of your caliber endorsing a lure so nice and simple as a hammered diamond jig. So often we see guys who have somewhat of a name in this sport, who only endorse the most expensive crap on the market.

Thanks for your honestly Kil. I appreciate it.

I endorse jigs which work for me. Whenever I go fishing, I always compare the effectiveness of different jigs/lures. If someone use diamond jigs and I use different jigs and I use diamond jigs if others use different jigs. Diamond jigs constantly catch fish no matter where I go, no matter what fish I target.
When I fished on the Viking out of Tarpon Spring, Fl for the first time, I saw some used Butterfly jigs. But I visited second time next year, I observed that they used hammered diamond jigs. I don't know it was something to do with 'Tony Fish' or my success on grouper on hammered diamond jigs or not.
When I visited the Big E out of Freeport, TX for the first time, they exclusively used Butterfly jigs for tuna, AJ or groupers, but many guys start to use hammered diamond jigs now after they saw our succcess with hammered diamond jigs on groupers and tuna.

But there are times Japanese style long jigs work, so you got to prepare other jigs too. I noticed that AJ love Japanese style long jigs though diamond jigs work for them.

YOU GOT IT KIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI :
Just got back from HALIFAX NOVA SCOTIA and NEWFOUNDLANF. Went up there to run a customers boat and to doa little HALBUT and BOTTOM fishing for myself.
I brought up my Hammered 4 and 6 ounce SILVER and GOLD HOLO jigs I make and sell. They still produce for me. I used the other Japanese style...aka...BUTTERFLY jigs too. They worked well too. Your right Kil, 5-7 bucks a jig is a lot easyer on your pocket then20.00+ per jig. When fishing in the rocky areas, my SILVER HOLO and GOLD HOLO worked well. The but the difference was HOOK PLACEMENT! Use the single hook on a swivel on the bottom of the jig most times. I'll also cng up and put the hook...aka...BUTTERFLY STYLE if I'm after fast moving pelagics/A.J.'s or when fishing around rocks for GROUPER . On Halibut up in Canadas East Coast...aka...ATLANTIC playground, I did better on bait. Did poorly on fish over 150. That was because they were breaking off my 50 pound mono leader that I use on my DOORMATTER EXPRESS. OH kil, Those CHROME BALLS I use do ATTRACT fish when u pound the bottom with them on the drift or at anchor. My success ratio went up when I had a dead stick bait rod ora CHROME BALL bait rig AND a CHROME/HOLOR lure working NEXT to teh bait rig. Have you had the same Experience?

I think we caught over 10 groupers in about 2 hours with the diamond jigs. When i first tied it on, the deckhands said "what're you going to do with that, it won't work".....now they all use those jigs :)
