I picked my fishing senior paper topic

So ive decided to do my senior paper on the destructive methods that are still used and poorly regulated today, like drift netting, the problem of quotas not being enforced well, how the fluke populations are way to stict in NY, and one where else. SO basiclly how messed up the fishing is now a days for fisherman on LI.

If anyone has background info they want to share, historical significance, opinions, counter arguments, or just any ideas they want to share would be greatly appreciated and most likely added into the paper.
