i have never fished south shore surf before but spent this whole year at sunken meadow beach fishing i would real like to get into south shore surf fishing but dont know what to use as far as bait or lures or if anyone as a good spots in nassau or western sufflok all help is appreciated

Before venturing out… There are a few things you should know about the South Shore beaches. Comparing to Sunken Meadow beaches…The water is more demanding to your equipment, which you may want to invest in a longer and stronger equipment because at times, distance counts and you will be tossing heavier payloads.
Another good idea is to hire a good surf guide so you can learn the ropes quicker and get a better understanding on what the South shore have to offer.
