I was in the Bayshore Tourney last weekend and one of my guys is friends with them. It seems you guys have the wrong info. What happened is that they caught a mako (which they estimated to be 150-200 lbs. and were bragging about it all day) Then alittle while later they hooked into a thresher. They released the thresher, since they had the mako already, and had hopes of placing in the mako portion of the tournament. Here is where the "as luck would have it" portion comes into play. The mako they weighed in was only 124 lbs, and therefor didnt qualify in the tournament, and there was only one shark caught in the other shark portion of the tournament.

I hope this clears things up alittle.
