Spoke to Johnny V. who said that the codfishing was super on Friday with over 2000 lbs caught while fishing inshore. It was the first trip out due to the tough weather all week. I hear the Helen H will be starting again this week, and with a nice stable weather window for the next couple of days, anyone fishing off of Chatam should 'knock the jock' off the codfish. Currents should not be as bad as they were the last week, but i would bring jigs upto 17 ozs, even though the fishing right now is being done in water depths around 100 feet.
