Headed out around 9am this morning July 2nd. Tide was incoming and the wind was surprisingly strong out of the east in the middle of the sound. Tried several drifts in the triangle for fluke. Landed quite a few short sea bass but man were they pretty. Talk about iridescent blue. Wow. Anyway, tried several areas from the triangle back inside to Huntington Harbor. Managed one keeper (19.25" released) and a few shorts before calling it quits.
Fish are definitely not in their usual spots for this time of the year. Gotta keep looking.
