Since it looked to be a nice day, drove down from CT and shot out on the LIE to Huntington. Hopped aboard the JJII around 6:30 with a surprisingly light crowd for some RSA fluke action. After a quick ride east in the bay, we were into fish immediately...only one problem, alot of the the keepers were TOO big to keep under the slot rules of the RSA. I probably caught 15 beautiful fluke, all on the white 3/4 oz spro, all spitting up sandeels. What a great day, finished up "out front" for a few more quality fish...I'd say most of my fish were just over the slot size and they swam away, to probably end up in someone else's bucket Tuesday. Don't delay fish are here, everything seems a little early this year, blues, bass, and now fluke.
