I just got e-mail from korea.

some jigging man was trip southewest 57km the name is gaku island

47-50m jigging for yellow tail but hit the big grouper

150gm jigs.

He was fighting 40min.. but broken rod for 3pices...

grouper is 160cm

great job!!!!!!!

Wow, what a fish! Great to hear there is some fantastic fishing off of Korea. Even that pic of that HUGE potential world record flounder that Kil's friends ate was insane


150g jig too, haha that's awesome. Shallow? No current?

So are Hapuka another name for Giant Sea Bass?

Thanks Kil. It's still a little difficult to see the difference between the two species, but at least I know they are different now! :) I'm guessing that the Hapuka don't reach the size of the Giant Sea Bass?
