I fish the sound in New Ro but was

just wonering if I was going to make it over to Yankers or Tarrytown this weekend...is there a better time -tide-wise- that I should focus on or shoot for?

I'm sure there will be many opionions, but on incoming tide I would fish south side of structures like piermont pier, croton pt. Theory being bait and fish easily get pushed hard up to structure. On outbound tide I'd do the oposite and go on the north side of the point with theory the food/fish are getting sucked tighter to the upstream side.

I'm geared up and ready to go by kayak this year. I've been told area south of Croton is mud flat that warms up first and draws fish. Was told not to expect to be alone here. :)

Coming into work today around 8am saw 2 boats just off south side of TZ near western shore. Could have been after stripers or I think some guys set up nets for shad in there too. First boats I've seen though. There was one in the middle of the river so. of bridge around 8pm last night. ...Yes, 12 hr. days for me lately unfortunately.
