got tired of surfcasting for nothing went up to around newburgh area for stripers. i got 1 catfish all day until i switched spots and finally got a 15 lb striper about 36" or so. i brought up a bunch of fresh bunker but i was fishing to shallow. then went back to bait shop and got blood worms on last stand. i lucked out at top of high tide. had to fight the jetty rats after it got dark to keep my bait from being eaten before it got on the hook. will try again tomorrow. i have been trying to get up to stellwagen for a split charter but weather is still funny if you are interested in going with us call b fast charters they are reputable we will catch fish.we need a coupla more people. their # is 781 293 6402 i just want to jig some up. it don't matter who we go with, but i like b fast.
