Fishing alot for fluke and stripers/blues and keep getting bunker chunks chewed up because of crabs,. any help???

You can try a small float on your leader to keep your bait just off the bottom. Blue claws and calicos will still swim up and grab the bait sometimes but it wont happen as often. You can by these rigs at bait stores.

I would just check and change bait more often. The float setup works fine also just not 100% crab proof like bassurf said.

bass dont mind if the crabs are there. i have caught bass with crabs stuck in their mouths that were sitting on the chunk when the bass took the bait.
