Check the Posted Reports every day? How about in the early A.M., before heading out for the deep blue? I know I do.

But I'm much more interested in finding out if there are actually two groups of Noreasters on this site - one for the Discussion Boards and another, sorta distinct group that only hits the Reports. And for that matter, how many look at both areas each day?

Of course, asking this here is sorta self-defeating for obvious reasons, but I'd like to hear about preferences and even individual opinions on this subject.

Different groups of guys, or one and the same?

Call it "Lep's half-azzed marketing survey" if you want.

best, Lep

I hate to admit it, but I am a "Discussion Board" guy myself. I used to post reports of my fishing trips but too many guys were jumping in and questioning the "validity" of the reports.

So, that portion of my Noreast.com experience is a thing of the past. I do however love discussing fishing (and non-fishing) related topics with everyone on this site.

Maybe one day I'll jump back into the reports section and pitch in.

Savvy - but do you go there to check out the reports, despite not posting your own - thus generating a "Hit" on that board?

both, I do the same as clementine. all the reports in the winter but relevant ones during the season. And pretty much every day as long as I am home, no work computer for me
Its hard to type with a tool belt on.

I haven't had the chance to make to many reports because I just got into this site in Nov. but I intend to post a lot of reports this season
In my opinion if your gonna check the posts for info you should be providing info. Unless you can live with that sort of guilt

I think you are on to something though Lep. sometimes there are questions and comments posted in the reports that make you think the person posting doesn't know about the boards. I'm surprised some of them aren't declined by the reports mods

I check both everyday. It seems like most discussion board guys use the posted reports section or at least are aware of it.But apparently a lot of posted reports guys never visit here or aren't even aware of the existence of the discussion boards.(for instance look how many guys get caught by "THE PROFESSIONAL" in the reports.)

I'm not a regular on the saltwater guy, so when i do read the daily reports, it is usually a week or few days ahead to get any special tips/ideas etc. discussion board is educational and good for the fishing community.. brings awareness and in sharing the good knowledge, the experts can make us all better conservationists.
