Last year I noticed my kids realy were no longer using the swingset, :rolleyes:so last fall I asked them if they wanted it and basically they all said no.
So 2 weeks ago I asked them again and they gave the same answer. So I tried to give it away on craigslist(no takers) so I took it down and re-used 80% of the wood to make a fence around my Koi pond.

I only had the slide and some scrap boards for the trash and gave the swings to someone who needed to replace their's.

So whatta ya think?

You did a very nice job, the fence looks good and strong will last forever. as someone asked earlier "Is there any fish in there?" No because you foregot to put a gate on the fence. But it look great and look what you save on fish food.

I have the exact same swing set and my kids are still using it. As soon as they tire of it I want to take it down. How old are your kids?? Mine are 5, 7 and 12. The 12 year old does not use it any more
My kids are 9 (twins) and 12.

Yes I have about 20 Koi in the pond. The fence is not for the kids so I don't need a gate the fence is to keep the dogs out, and they won't pass the flower pot for some reason so thats all I need.

The pond will be crystal clear once the Maples leaf out and the pond gets some shade, this is the only time of the year it gets green and only lasts about a month.

nice job

nice job on that fence buddy, i bet taking down that swing set was much easier than putting it up, i put a similar one up for my son, and to tell the truth i think i rather go through labor than try and put another one up.lol

You have a catfish that pushes a ruler around?
