hey, i was wondering how most of you guys kill your mako or thresher when hes boatside? Harpoon or flying gaff? we have a flying gaff now and are looking into getting a harpoon. how do you rig your lines for the gaff/poon, to a cleat or throw out a ball with your line to it?
thanks

I use about 15 feet of 3/8 line to the dart and tie it off to the chair stanchion.

yea, we dont have the chair in anymore, but we have some cleats bolted into a stringer on the side hull of the hull that would prob. be strong enough but its hard wiht the rope in the way and a ball seems easier in that respect.

pursit- i wish we had brought a .22 or shotgun, cause we would have had that fish right now, and we dont do tournaments
