I wish there was cod fishing here off Long Island so I could go out. No party boats are sailing for cod on a regular basis so you can assume the fishing is stinko! The NMFS is doing a terrible job bringing the cod back. When the average joe can go out in the winter and catch himself 8 or 10 cod, then the fishery will be healthy. I don't believe anything the NMFS says about the cod. They are not to be trusted.
