monday 3 of us went where the warmest of the water is right now hook creek in the back of jamaica bay..we took my friends 16 foot carolina skiff ducked under the rockaway blvd bridge and fishes the section of hook creek near north woodmere park.. chumed heavy with 8 quarts of flounder chum and a bushell of broken mussles we got from M and B bait shop off of rockaway blvd. scored 12 fish in 4 hours all fish but one were keepers and one tipped the scale at just over 2 pounds..mussels were the hot bait the creek has a average dpeth of 9 feet we fished one of the deeper holes ( 12 foot) on an out going tide..gonna sneak back there on friday and give it a go again if you got a center console thats higher then the side rails by 3 feet you wont make it under the bridge.. a siden note the temp gauge on the fish finder read 41 degree's good luck guys <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=30137" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> |
