I bought some rod decals of tunas and flounders, they look great on the rods but I know I need some kind of coating to protect them from falling off. I heard of clear nail polish but that won't last? I also have epoxy for rod repairs, I don't remember the brand but its the upper grade epoxy that comes in the black and yellow plastic bottle, can I use that? I don't wana use anything that will damage my rods. Any comments well appreciated.

Jeff, put a coat of the rod building epoxy over the decal. Normally I put a coat of epoxy on the blank first, after it dries, apply decal, then another coat of epoxy.

Thanks seane, I figured that but just wanted to be sure. I didn't know how the epoxy would flex when the rod bent.
