Does anyone run a Holland 32 or a flowers 33 out of New Jersey or points south, that would be interested in takeing me out on it. I'll cover fuel and time expenses. I'm in Maryland so i'm looking for a 3-4 hour drive, max.

I just got back from a trip from Maine and was surprised to learn that it's still winter up there. Most of the boats are on the hard.
I probably should have assumed that and waited 30 days, but it was worth the trip just to meet and talk to the different builders.

Any help would be appreceated with this.

Thanks,

David

Down here in MD they're talking about Global Warming. Up there everybody was talking about the coming of the next ice age.

LMAO that is funny.

If you were interested in making one more trip to Maine say July when spring arrives I know Little Kenny Flower will have his 33 in the water and I bet you could get a ride on his.

There is a Flowers 33 in Forked River, NJ, named the Edna B.

I found some pictures.

One Blitsen,

I was up there two days ago and climbed around on (what i think) was your boat. What a great looking rig. You should be very excited.

Kenny's son's boat is sitting right next to the shop now, and probably won't get splashed untill after the first of may. I'd sure like to ride on one w/o flying back up to ME.

Check you PM.

thanks,

David

Is that Flowers 33' a skeg boat? Anybody know who designed it?
Yes it is a skeg boat and I believe that it is a modified Calvin Beal design done by Ken Flower. It has a deeper keel than most to turn a larger prop and has a lot of beam for its size.

Will, getting close, it should be before the end of the month.

Somedaycame, That is a Flowers 33 built as a walk around for a charter fisherman in NJ.

powderpro, It is deeper than most in its class as well as wide. Ken Flower made the keel deeper so it would handle higher HP and a bigger wheel.
Flowers 33 specs.
LOA 33' 2"
Beam Midship 12' 2"
Beam Transom 11' 5"
Draft 3' 7"
Wheel Clearance 34"
