Cape-bound Joey and John
Hi guys,
give me some notice and I can meet you guys for sure. MOnomoy can be terrific, but be prepared for long stretche of paddling (4 or more miles each way to get to the fish and back). The west side of Monomou South is the least exposed and offers the most extensive shallows.
The east side is exposed and calls for deepwater gear.
Also there's Cotuit, Waqoit Island : they face Nantucket Sound and you don't need to paddle as far. And there's always Woods Hole, but the tides there run unbelievably hard --- 4 kts. at full bore.
I don't know what boats you chaps paddle, but let's talk about what kinds of paddling distances you have in mind. I'm flexible around paddling either short or long.

Scortons Creek is another possiblity, is less distance to drive, and is just off the east end of the Cape Cod canal. Another hot spot is in Falmouth, at a place called The Knob. Good parking, short distance to paddle, mostly deepwater stripers and rocky structure.
