Hempstead

Has anyone done any shallow water fishing in the back of Hempstead Harbor, say south of the plant. I was thinking of going there with my portabote and 4hp engine . It seems like there isnt much water there at low tide. Dont sure if the fish would move in and out of that very small channel at the plant. The grass in there though looks like some sweet holding areas for fish.
