anchored up in hemlock cove (on the bay side near Gilgo beach) two weeks ago and found the place loaded with lions mane jellyfish, the real nasty looking ones. Has anyone been there recently, were the jelly's still there?

Port Jeff area

They are all over the Port Jeff area and have been "very" large, scary large. I won't even take a quick dip anymore, even when it's been blazing hot with no wind, I've dumped a bucket of water over my head instead.

Even felt a small sting while cleaning my bucktail that had a minute piece of tenticle on it, didn't realize I had probably brushed against one while reeling up my line. Needless to say, I am looking for it on my line everytime now.

I don't remember them being this big before.
