Hoping to go out fishing some nights this week in Huntington with my dad after work for some blues and stripers. hopefully i will be on the water by at least 5 p.m. and end upcoming home around 9:30p.m. I havent been fishing lately, but i hear there is very little peanuts in the area. has anybody been encountering any schools on the spearing. If i dont find any blitzes or peanuts in the Harbor i will probably move to casting soft plastics at the marsh edges for schoolie and hopefully some keeper stripers... Any info or advice on wat areas have been productive and wat meathods. P.S. I will not go any farther than the huntington and Northport bay area. I am willing to do any kind of other fishing though; liveline snappers; troll; ect.

Some guy down at the Nissequogue docks Friday night was tossing a bait net and catching quite a few peanuts. They are around but haven't started to venture out into the dinner table. I think they are still holed up in the shallows daring each other to venture out to the open sea.

"I triple dog dare you!"

Another week or so and Huntington Harbor should be filled with blitzes in the afternoon.
