I snapped the first two guides off of my pole the other day. I tried to find a replacement tip that I could just put over the remainder of my rod, but I can't seem to find one big enough.
I have a 7'6" (well, now probably just a 7'2") Shakespeare Saltwater spinning rod that holds 12-30lb line. If anyone can tell me where to find a guide tip that will fit, please let me know! Also, any advise or tricks on repairing will be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Tara,

That picture is all to familiar.

What was a strong rod will now be even stronger. I don't even try to fix broken pasrts like those. I cut the good part even using a Dremel tool or a triangular file. Then I install a new tip top.

Your best bet is to take the rod to a tackle shop and ask them to install a new tip top. They should be able to do it right away. If you know a custom rod builder he probably has a tip in stock.

Good luck,
