Can't sit very long at the computer, due to a tube stuck in a very nasty part of me, but I want you all to know that I very much appreciate and am touched by all the public and private messages sent my way over the past week. Its just not possible to answer you all individually, so please accept this message as a kind of "Group Thank You."

The surgery went fine, my doctor finished it almost an hour faster than he originally projected. The first night & day afterwards were a terror, but every day since has been progressively easier.

The cath comes out of me Thursday morning and then its another week or so 'til I can return to work. (Not a moment too soon - have you SEEN what dreck they put on daytime TV?)

I expect to begin Spring commssioning the boat around March 20, and provided my crew and friends pitch in, I fully anticipate eating flounder fillet by late April.

So while I still hurt a bit, I do look forward to a good year with youse guys and during the next week or so I'll check in here at least once a day to see what's up.

best,

Lep

That's great news Pete and I'm glad to see you're beginning to feel better.

Something tells me you're going to have a great fishing season!

As always please let me know if there's anything I can do to help get the boat splashed!
