Fishing has been excellent on both the jigging and whale cod trips the last week. The jigging trip was described as having incredible fishing. Codfishing has really picked up, so have the coolers ready. Hopefully this weekend we will have a break in the weather. Contact the Helen H office to see which trips are sailing.

I know of a few local skippers who have had "some" Cod in 165ft of water recently. Break out the pro-gears and 9 ft. lami's boys. IT'S TIME.(as soon as it gets much warmer and if my wife lets me.)Don't i wish for those savage open bottom days in the long ago.....

hey newell man....you know the boat Hawkeye out of shinne**** has been catchin a few cod and had a 46lber a couple trips ago.....they might be coming back

HI Bigeye...that 46lb was caught a number of weeks ago....not to many other ones were caught though! Boy is that a trophy fish nowadays. Love to see a pic of that fish!

I've seen that guy around, My dragger buddy says he has a bunch of good drops, but what kind of guy drives around to secret spots in a neon red boat??????another boat from out east had some cod on the same drop a week after.maybe......
