Three weeks ago, those fishing the South Shore were able to get a glimpse of Hailey's Comet's return. Some may say it was just luck that they caught it's glimpse, but Hailey's Comet was not content leaving it at that. On Sunday, October 20, 2013, Hailey's Comet, armed with her Fiddler Crabs boarded the James Joseph out of Huntington. She was late, but would end up leaving her mark at the end. On the second drop of the day, in front of a crowd of over 30 other anglers, Hailey's Comet made herself known by pulling up a 7 lb beauty of a Blackfish. The tog put up a great fight, but at the end of the fight, with the expertise mating of both Big Joe and Mike, the tog was safe and sound on the boat. At the end of the day, there was no question who the reigning fisher on the boat was. Hailey's Comet ended her showing by being both high hook and pool winner with 6 keeper Tog and a Seabass to boot. Sumo ended the day with 2 keeper tog =(. South Shore first, North Shore yesterday, where will Hailey's Comet show herself next?
