April is here! Besides signalling the start of another surf fishing season, April is also significant because it is the month that the Striper Surf Club's public service volunteer cleanup takes place.
The Second Annual Green Island Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, April 12th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Refreshments and food will be served and tools will be provided by New York State Park's personnel.
Last year, Causeway B&T and Kwak's B&T generously donated fishing equipment that was raffled to participants. All that is required is free time and the New York State Fishing or Four Wheel Drive permits to park your vehicle.
Green Island is a mess again! Striper Surf Club hopes you are able to join us in our efforts. It's work, but we had fun last year. You can win stuff too!
