I don't know where I heard this, but I'll shoot anyway. I know that it's big trouble if someone kills a Great White. But I heard that you can't land one on the deck, and you can't hold one out of the water for more than 10 seconds. Is this true? I don't need to know, I don't think I'll be on the Shark partyboat out of Sheepshead bay- until they get one.LOL

i believe once you realize that you have one hooked you are supposed to cut it loose.

You are permitted fight the fish on rod & reel, you just can't cause any undo harm to the animal.

The fish has to be released ASAP after the fihgt with as little harm as possible.
